Don't stop me now!

Have you heard the song "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen?

Because today in performance group we practised that song. If you don't recognize it you've probably heard it from the $ 12 million or however much money lotto ad. Anyway.... back to the subject. If you haven't heard the song you should listen to it because it's a really good song. We had 2 more songs called "Taller, Stronger, Better" by Guy Sebastion and "Oh My" by Gin Wigmore.

Last day of Enrich for the term.

Performance

When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
The only doll I've ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown
And it gets stronger in every way
And it gets deeper let me say
And it gets higher day by day.

That is the song we practiced singing today with Nicola and it is called River Deep Mountain High. I think this is the first song we're going to in public and it's really catchy!

Performance Group With Nicola

Kia Ora everyone

Today at Enrich we did Talent Development. I chose to go with Nicola and if we really wanted to be in the group we had to do an audition doing either singing,  dancing or a poem . I chose to do a poem called

How NOT to dry the dishes

If you have to dry the dishes
 (such an owful boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
(instead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes and drop one on the floor maybe they won't let you dry the dishes any more !!!

Bye, Briana.

Patterns

Today at Enrich we went for a three hour walk through Queens Park to look at patterns because patterns is our Concept Curriculum for the year.

Rhylee, Matt L, Liam, Lucy, Madison, Mia, Norton and I were in Katie's group.

Rhylee and I were in a pair.

We had too put all the patterns we saw into a section of either B.O.S.S which stands for Beauty, Order, Strength and Survivability.

Here are some of our B.O.S.S's

Beauty: Fish, birds, wood, weaving, ferns, leaves and wall patterns.

Order: Parking meters, yellow road lines, weather patterns, street numbers, traffic lights, speed limit and phone numbers.

Strength: Museum roof, scaffolding, bricks and fence.

Survivability: Man hole lid, shade, NO TRUCKS sign, traffic lights, scaffolding and fish scales.

After Lunch Rotations

Today we did some rotations after lunch. I did the rotation with Nicola. The rotation was making a banner for the Enrich@ILT in the city newspaper. We had to be really creative with our banner because we need it different from the Southland Times and The Express. We also had to put the copyright sign on it so no-one copies you. I did mine all in highlighters and a little bit of pencil.  Nicola is going to choose the best banner.  This newspaper is going to go out twice a year!

THE HARDEST GAME OF YOUR LIFE.

Today at Enrich we played a Wilson game called The hoop game. We had to be in a mixed group of three. Brianna and I had to be in a group with Darryn because when we got to finding a boy there were no more boys. We were going to come first place but we came third. Before we came third we got sooooooooo close to the hoop way to many times it WASN'T funny and I'm being serious.

You have to hold hands, jump and land at the same time.
