Hi there everyone,
Today I did art with Katie,
We did abstract heads by Pablo Picasso. We had to get a side on and front on portrait profiles, all in one picture. First we drew an oval for the face and then a squiggly line down the middle. Then we had to draw the facial features, ears and hair line. Next we had to draw a figure eight over our picture and then a rectangle and go over it in vivid. Here is my portrait of Pearl.
Hi my name is Briana. Im a year 5 and I attend Enrich on a Monday, and the rest of the time I go to Waihopai School. My strength is reading and my passion is art. I love doing passion time at Enrich. Enrich is a school for gifted kids who think the same way. I hope you enjoy reading my blogs.

Going to Burst
Stress can put a lot of pressure on you most of the time, so here are some hints about coping with stress.
No. 1, When you get stressed try and get outside and go for a walk or do some exercise, it helps take your mind of things.
No. 2, Tell someone you're stressed and ask to talk about why your stressed, so you don't have that feeling like you're going to burst.
No. 3, Being alone can make you stressed, so try getting involved in activities that sound interesting to you and suit your timetable.
Thanks for reading my blog :)

Passion Project
Today was the first session of passion projects. Pearl, Norton and I are doing water- colour paintings (but they weren't here today!) We are trying to complete at least 3 average to good paintings with water-colours. Today my goal was to choose which painting I was going to do and sketch it out lightly and choose our colours. Today my progress was pretty good. I managed to sketch my picture and choose my colours to use and copied down some ideas to keep me on track.
See you next week.

Brain Training
Hello, Blog readers
This morning at Enrich we did brain training.
It is a really fun way to help people of all ages and abilities. I will put the link for the website up at the end and you can have a go and see how well you go. There is also a site that has a video that has one brain training activity in the video but you have 25 seconds to do the one in the video and it also has some good info about brain training.
My favourite game in the second website is 'What Was There'.
Here are the websites

Open,Close,Open,Close
This morning we did open and closed questions. A closed question is a question with a one word answer. Here is an example.Hey have you been to the circus? No. An open question requires a bit more thought and requires a long answer.
We also had to think of ten open questions to use in an interview with a classmate.
Here are my top two questions.
1.What do you want to achieve this year.
2.Can you describe a time when you felt happy and annoyed at the same time.
This was a fun activity, I really enjoyed it.
See you next week!!!!

Chess with Katie
Welcome back to my blog.
Today I went to a rotation with Katie. The rotation was a chess one. We had to play a game of chess with someone we had never played before, but it had to be someone in the group. I had to play Madison. I was off to a good start but Madison kept ruining my plans. We didn't get to finish so we had to check on points. I got a not so proud 5 points and Madison got 35.
