Enrich
Today at Enrich Maddison, Samantha and I started with clay on the wheel. To see who went first Marie wrote 1,2,3 on a bit of paper and we picked a bit of paper out of Marie's hands. Samantha got the first turn and I got second turn. Finally it was my turn. The first couple of steps were to get the wheel spinning then slam the clay in the middle then find the middle and then with the part of your hand under the palm push the clay in and up. Then curve one hand around the clay without touching it and with your other hand push your hand over on an angle and then down and do it three or four times.

ABSTRACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For art today we did masking tape art which is a type of abstract art. The pattern is simply lines and shapes, but you could do a colour pattern as well if you were really wanting to make it more challenging!
Here is my finished product, and a photo of us all concentrating hard while we were painting!
I hope you enjoy

Clay 1.0.1
Clay 1.0.1
Yes! Today Norton (my friend), and I started our passion time doing clay. We started out by smashing it against a piece of wood and getting out all the air bubbles. Next we went in to moulding the shape in the clay that we wanted to work with. Norton and I made a face. The next step of the clay face is getting some of the spare clay and making the facial features and attaching them.
You have to score and join them carefully or they fall off when the clay dries!

Dance Galore
Hello and Welcome to my Blog
Today at Enrich the people in performance had to learn the WHOLE dance for sharing night on the 17th of September.
The dance is really fun and tiring.... everyone was sweating by the end and everyone ended up stripping a layer of clothes off.
Bye, See you next time

Writer's Studio
Hello and welcome to Briana's Blog for all you blog readers.
Today for our pattern workshops I did Writer's Studio. Last week we went out into town and stalked people well not stalked but spying in a nice way :)
We had to be really silent otherwise Nicola would send us out.
Here is some of my story.
Parents
Parents are always obsesed with their children not wanting to do something or saying they can't do something. But when you bribe your children with a 10kg bag of chocolate or something like sweets, they always do it so the parents know that they are lying.
They are constantly on about work doing everything they can to help themselves, not anyone else, especialy if your Dad is like mine and every time he gets home, he is always, always on and on about work, so before you know it, all you hear is... 'EWUIRWGBIWUYGfYUEWF.'

Hi
Today we learnt a new song called
'Some Things Are Meant To Be' from the well know story called 'Little Woman'. Here is a bit of the song and the link.
Let's pretend we're riding on a kite.
Let's imagine we're flying through the air.
We'll ascend until we're out of out of sight. Light as paper we'll soar.
Let's be wild up above the sand feel the wind the world at our command.
Let's enjoy the view, and never land.
This song is about two sisters and one is dying, and she is trying to tell the other sister that she has to go.

Calligraphy Writing.
Do you know what Calligraphy writing is because I do!!!!
Today we did Calligraphy Writing. Calligraphy Writing is the swirly and twirly writing used in the olden days when your parents were kids. We started out with a practice sheet and then we had to write our names, friends, address and things like that. Next after you had finished you could grab a bit of card and the write on it in calligraphy and you could either do a picture with calligraphy, a picture with a saying around it or a wordal which is a box of words on all different angles. Bye, See You Next Term.

Dark, heavy water-droplet clouds at low or lower-middle heights.Rain or snow very likely.
Stratus
Flat layer of low clouds. Light rain, drizzle, or flurries likely, overcast skies at best.

Spatial And Psychological Drama !!!!! ( not games !! )
Today we did something that was NOT games it was
SPATIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL DRAMA.
Spatial Drama
Spatial Drama is something where there is a person who calls out an object and in your groups you have to make that object in 10 or under 10 seconds.
This is called "10 Second Objects "

Psychological Drama
Psychological Drama is where you have to go into a circle and close your eyes and Nicola goes round and taps one and only one person on the shoulder and then you open your eyes and then you have to guess who got tapped on the shoulder and then at the end the person that got tapped on the shoulder has to put their hand up.

If you're wondering what a Monologue is, it is a speech like play but it's a one person job. I have done one called Protecto and it's about a kid trying to be a super hero.
Here is the 1st verse of the monologue "Protecto"
"I've always dreamed of being a hero. I've tried everything to become super. I let a spider bite me .. no spider powers, just lots of icthing.
I tried standing close to the microwave oven hoping that the radiation will change me. Nothing. And I got in trouble for making too many bags of popcorn but I took them and had a popcorn party. I was a hero that day. So I guess it kinda worked."

Petticoats
At the end of performance we had a little bit of fun with PETTICOATS buuuuuut you're probably wondering what you could do with petticoats rather than wear them JUST wear them to be pretty. We put all the petticoats on Mia because se is the smallest of the group and if you are wondering what she looked like I'll put a photo of her at the end of my blog. When we tried to put a petticoat on her with the disco hat already on her and since it stuck to the hat we made Mia a bride with a petticoat vail. These petticoats are our new props for our performance group. They arrived yesterday from Tauranga.

Like An Eagle
Like An Eagle ever heard of the saying. Well if I think about it..... it's not a saying it's a song by I don't know why ask me? Look it up. Anyway back to the subject. Have you heard of the song because we sang it today at Enrich for performance with Amanda because Nicola was away sick today. It's a sad song but we don't know what it's about so we all had a guess about what it's about and I guessed it was about a child leaving a teacher or someone about to die or something like that.
Here is one of our rebuses for this week :
A mat
I'll have the answer for you next week :)
Bye, See you next week .

Don't stop me now!
Have you heard the song "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen?
Because today in performance group we practised that song. If you don't recognize it you've probably heard it from the $ 12 million or however much money lotto ad. Anyway.... back to the subject. If you haven't heard the song you should listen to it because it's a really good song. We had 2 more songs called "Taller, Stronger, Better" by Guy Sebastion and "Oh My" by Gin Wigmore.
Last day of Enrich for the term.

Performance
When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
The only doll I've ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown
And it gets stronger in every way
And it gets deeper let me say
And it gets higher day by day.
That is the song we practiced singing today with Nicola and it is called River Deep Mountain High. I think this is the first song we're going to in public and it's really catchy!

How NOT to dry the dishes
If you have to dry the dishes
(such an owful boring chore)
If you have to dry the dishes
(instead of going to the store)
If you have to dry the dishes and drop one on the floor maybe they won't let you dry the dishes any more !!!
Bye, Briana.

Here are some of our B.O.S.S's

After Lunch Rotations
Today we did some rotations after lunch. I did the rotation with Nicola. The rotation was making a banner for the Enrich@ILT in the city newspaper. We had to be really creative with our banner because we need it different from the Southland Times and The Express. We also had to put the copyright sign on it so no-one copies you. I did mine all in highlighters and a little bit of pencil. Nicola is going to choose the best banner. This newspaper is going to go out twice a year!

THE HARDEST GAME OF YOUR LIFE.
Today at Enrich we played a Wilson game called The hoop game. We had to be in a mixed group of three. Brianna and I had to be in a group with Darryn because when we got to finding a boy there were no more boys. We were going to come first place but we came third. Before we came third we got sooooooooo close to the hoop way to many times it WASN'T funny and I'm being serious.
You have to hold hands, jump and land at the same time.
